Heartwood in the Hills

will bring their annual Calhoun County Wood Festival performance to the elementary schools this year with performance of “Springala 2018” on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. The performances will be part of the events of the 56th annual Calhoun County Wood Festival

The general public and home schooled children of the community are invited to attend. “Springala”, choreographed and directed by Artistic Director Jude Binder is a wonderfully energetic show of music, color, dance and mask theatre.

Performances will be at 10 a.m. at Arnoldsburg School and 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill. On Thursday, May 31, the Performing Arts Students will present “Springala” for the third time for family and friends at Heartwood.

“Springala” 2018 will be presented by the spring Performing Arts Program students in dance and theatre. The Performing Arts Company includes performers ages 10 through teens, with dance students taking several classes per week.

The Calhoun County Wood Festival pageants will be on Tuesday, May 29th 2018 at the Calhoun County Middle-High School Auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm with the Baby pageant.  Pre Teen Wood Festival, Teen Wood Festival, Queen Flora and Miss Wood Festival. will follow.
