Parade Marshals- Dave and Jill Trippett


Dave was a chief petty officer in the US Navy.  He moved to Grantsville in the early 1990's to be with his parents, the late Pete and Millie Trippett.  Dave managed the Grantsville Pool for 14 years until the pool closed.  He has been a volunteer for the Kairos Prison Ministry and was also a Chaplain at MMHS.
 
Jill is a 1986 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 1990 graduate of Glenville State College, as well as a graduate of WVU's master's program.  She has been a teacher will Calhoun county schools from 1991-2024.  Jill will retire with 33 years of service at the end of June.

  
Dave and Jill are active members of Knotts Church in Grantsville, where they participate in many ministries.  They have 1 daughter, Kristie Callihan and 2 grandchildren, Raegen and Chase Callihan.  
They always look forward to the Wood Festival, especially playing Lion's Club Bingo (Dave for sure), eating the food and listening to the entertainment.
